Volker Kühn , German artist, born April 5, 1948. He studied sculpture at the Academy of Arts in Bremen where he was honored with the Young Advancement Award. He previously trained as a carpenter and worked as an engraver, producing miniature engravings, which are currently collector's items.
Volker Kühn is known for his series of three-dimensional wall pieces "Art in Boxes" populated with small figures and animals. References to Dada, Surrealism and Pop Art can be identified in his vibrant and humorous wall sculptures.
