INFORMATION
Yolande Buchmüller Rouiller is a Swiss painter living in Lausanne. She has exhibited her paintings since 2003 in different places in Switzerland and in Portugal. Inspired by her many travels, she expresses her emotions and moods by using acrylic paint to which she mixes sand, mortar, paper and wood chips.
“Yolande, or the shock of materials. She explores, she screams color, she strikes and breaks the shape in landscapes from beyond life, where everything is combined with sensitivity! »Joe Boehler, visual artist and performer, ABpi Foundation, 2014
“Yolande Buchmüller Rouiller is a passionate painter with undeniable talent. Most of his abstract works radiate a deep conviction and reveal a great maturation for pictorial geometry, balance and a tempered basis of colors. The structures erected thanks to the sand mixed with the colors are remarkable and arouse interest. An eventful dynamic combined with sensitivity gives the paintings a grandeur and an irrefutable presence. The artist-painter, a biologist by profession, clearly gives a glimpse of the nature from which she is inspired, a theme which is obviously close to her. Science does not explode on his paintings, however; we see rather the desire for freedom and the intuitive need to follow the meanders of his soul. »Pierre Keller, Journal Le Lac, 2008.
